Angel’s Envy 2023 Cask Strength

Since 2012, Angel’s Envy has released a yearly Cask Strength version of its flagship bourbon. Each year included an engraved wooden box that became a collectible item for bourbon lovers. In 2023, Angel’s Envy added Master Distiller Owen Martin to their team. Owen and Angel’s Envy made two big decisions in terms of their Cask Strength. They decided to move in another direction with the Cask Strength packaging – this direction introduced a brand new bottle and label design and removed the wooden box from the equation. They also introduced their first ever Rye Cask Strength.

My task as the art director of this photoshoot was to ensure we communicated two things:
1. Communicate Master Distiller, Owen Martin’s role in this special release – his first ever new innovations as the Master Distiller of Angel’s Envy.
2. Though the well-loved wooden box was now not included in this Cask Strength release, this liquid and the brand new packaging were even more amazing and worthy of envy.
